Go to your fallout new vegas in the file after steam and common do not open the new vegas game file as there are usaually two new vegas files go to the one that has the game and mods in it but do not open instead right click on it and open properties and go to a section that says hidden and read only as read only will be checked check also on hiddem files then say ok and it will go thru and open all your hidden files which includes fallout new vegas exe you can put that in or if you have nvse you will also be able to go thru vortex and put that in as a tool when you do it play the game with nvse as the tool of choice and your game should work if your nvse or fallout nvse exe is not chooseable that is I hope this s how I got rid of any problems.
